ROOFING
Advancements in the roofing industry are driven by the desire to balance low-cost and long-term sustainable solutions with topics like circularity, resilience, climate change, and performance improvements, further intensifying the need for continuous innovation.
Kraton’s diverse polymer portfolio enables the development of long-lasting, cost-effective roofing products that withstand harsh climates and conditions. Our styrenic block copolymers (SBC) are used in modified bituminous roofing materials to provide critical features such as flexibility across a wide temperature range, resistance to thermal degradation, long-term performance, excellent waterproofing properties, ease of application, and enhanced aesthetics. Our styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS), and styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene (SEBS) polymer modifiers form a strong network within the bitumen, enhancing its physical properties and resulting in superior performance roofing materials.
