KRATON™ D
Kraton™ D is a product family of unhydrogenated styrenic block copolymers (USBC) with excellent low-temperature flexibility. Kraton D is compatible with polyethylene and polystyrene and can be crosslinked for improved performance. Kraton manufactures SIS, SBS, and SIBS as part of the Kraton D product suite.

Kraton™ D SBS
The Kraton D styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) family of polymers is versatile with high strength, a wide range of hardness, and low viscosity for easy thermoplastic melt processing or processing in solution. The SBS block copolymers are composed of blocks of styrene and butadiene. It is the material of choice for asphalt modification, providing superior resistance to asphalt rutting and cracking. It is also useful in footwear, adhesives, impact modification of styrenics, thermoformed clear rigid packaging, and compounds.

Kraton™ D SIS
As the softest Kraton grades, Kraton D Styrene Isoprene Styrene (SIS) polymers have a low modulus and are the polymer of choice for pressure-sensitive applications. It shows low viscosity and provides high strength with excellent elasticity. These thermoplastic resins are easy to process and compatible with various tackifying chemistries.
Kraton D SIS is typically used in hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives (HMPSA). These polymers provide increased adhesion and flexibility to adhesive applications such as tapes and labels while offering soft stretch, a comfortable feel, and an excellent fit to elastic attachment adhesives in hygiene products such as diapers.

Kraton™ D SIBS
Kraton D Styrene Isoprene Butadiene (SIBS) used in pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes and low-temperature adhesives have similar properties as Kraton SIS while providing better hot-melt stability, lower Tg, and higher viscosity.
